Week 2 Newsletter
This week's flyer is posted to the right of screen. If you didnt attend last Friday please note new pool gate location and new race nomination process described in full.
Nominations Friday 26th October 2012
Thanks again for your patience as we refine the nomination process for this year. As you may have noticed, we started on time last Friday with the unassisted races commencing at 6.20pm soon followed by the 15m freestyle events and so on. This is our desired timing for future nights and gives you a good idea of how things will play out from now on.
Nominations:
To nominate, please see the committee members at the nomination desk (not the office). This desk is located near the gates and ALL swimmers need to be marked off for every race that they will swim in on the night. This is the time to make any adjustments before nominations close at 6.15pm. Our aim is to make this process as quick as possible - we have three committee members on hand to mark off swimmers and to answer any questions. Please check with your swimmers what races they plan on competing in before joining the line. Please ensure each swimmer is marked off prior to entering the stands and ordering your BBQ.
From now on the gates will open at 5.45pm and nominations will close at 6.15pm.

Very Important Club Information
Welcome to Graceville Lightning Swim Club
First meet of Season 2012/13 is Friday 12th October at Graceville State School Pool.
Graceville Lightning Swim Club (GLSC) provides an organised swimming competition catering for all levels of ability, all strokes of swimming, and for all school age children. We also provide an assisted race for the younger swimmers at the beginning of the night. It's a fun and friendly volunteer run oganisation, and we are welcoming all past members to re-sign up, and invite new members to join our club.
What better way to end the week than to enjoy a BBQ, a few drinks with friends, and watch the kids have a great time in the pool! That's what you'll get when you sign up for the Graceville Lightning Swim Club, (GLSC). Our 2012-13 season meets every Friday night from 6-8pm at the Graceville State School Pool.
To sign up, go to Swimming Queensland Members Portal and either fill in the details to renew your membership or join as a new swimmer. If you swam last year, your details will be there under your email address that you provided to the club last year.
