15m/25m/50m Breaststroke

Free swim/warm up:

For our new members who have signed up this term, and a reminder to all members, there is a short free swim at the beginning of club nights.  This starts at 6.00pm and runs until 6.15pm. We need to ensure our lifeguards are in the pool area before we let 150 members into the water.  Please ensure your swimmers do not enter the pool before 6.00pm. During free swim, swimmers are reminded to stay off the lane ropes and there is to be no running within the pool area at any time.

Capalaba Swimming Carnival:

Good luck to all our swimmers who will be competing on Saturday in the Capalaba Capers Swim Carnival at Capalaba State College School Pool. Warm up starts at 12.30pm, races start at 1.00pm sharp, age on blocks on the date of meet applies.

Oxley Road Cup - Sunday 3rd March.

We are finalising our swim team to represent Graceville at this carnival and will announce the full team early next week.  Pool gates at Sherwood State School will open at 12noon for 12.30pm warm up and races to start at 1.00pm.  A full program will be provided to attending swimmers as soon as we get a copy.

Club Championships - Friday 8th & Sunday 10th March

The aim of the club championships is to recognise the participation of as many swimmers as possible. Awards will be given to first, second and third place getters. To allow all swimmers the best possible conditions to do well at our club championships, these are spread over two days - Friday 8th March and Sunday 10th March.  Friday night events will be held at normal club time, first race at 6.30pm. Sunday events will commence at 2.00pm with gates opening at 1.30pm.

Presentation Day: Sunday 24th March 2pm

This is a fun family day and a chance for the committee to thank all volunteers and to congratulate all swimmers.  The pool will be open for free swim, a free BBQ is provided, there will be a presentation of the Points Awards, Club Champions will be named, and every swimmer will be recognised for their contribution to the swim season.

The committee AGM will be held on presentation day during the course of the afternoon.  If you would like to consider taking on a role for next season, have some feedback, or would like to participate in a more formal way next year, please come along to the meeting.

A special shout out to our major sponsors - P & L Meats who provide a great meat raffle for the club.  P & L Meats have been great supporters of the club and we appreciate their generosity each year.

Yours in swimming
