Graceville wins the Oxley Road Cup

Evening all
Just in case you haven't heard or weren't at Sherwood this afternoon, we won the Oxley Road Cup for the first time since 2009. Well done to all swimmers who took part, each & everyone of you all played a role in securing enough points to enable us to finish at the top of the table. Thank you to all those who swam in multiple age groups & relay teams, some swimmers swimming in 10+ races. Thank you also to all the parents who gave up a Sunday afternoon & were there to support their kids. A special thank you to those parents who helped out with time keeping, judging, marshaling, running results etc. A day like today couldn't happen with out you.
See you all on Friday night for the Part 1 of the Club Championships.
Good swimming,
Troy

For those that are wondering, SWIM CLUB IS STILL ON TONIGHT

Starts, Turns, & Finishes Training Session with Rob

As we emailed members yesterday, in preparation for club championships and prior to Oxley Rd Cup, Rob (lifeguard and timekeeper…) has offered his time to take our swimmers through a session focusing on starts, turns, and finishes.  All members are welcome and encouraged to come along and get some tips from Rob.

Rob is planning on hosting this session from 5 – 5.45pm this Friday 1st March, prior to the start of swim club (depending on the weather).  If you would like to attend just turn up, however, at 5.45pm when the registration desk opens, all attending swimmers will need to be marked off ready for swim club.
