Graceville Lightning Swim Club invites you to join us this year in Term 4 and Term 1 on Fridays from 5.30pm .

Swimmers have a chance to get regular racing practice in a friendly environment.

Membership

Costs cover the whole season (Terms 4 and 1)

Junior Membership (Grade 3 and under in Term 4): $65

Senior Membership (Grade 4 and over in Term 4): $115

Single term pricing is available in Term 1 for Prep and Year 1 swimmers, and in Term 4 for Year 6 swimmers.

Children from outside Graceville State School are also welcome! We are conveniently located for families from Chelmer, Sherwood, Corinda, Oxley, Tennyson and Indooroopilly.

Club Nights

Free Swim for all: 5.30pm - 6.00pm

Assisted Swim

Showcase 100m

Freestyle: 15m, 25m, 50m

Backstroke: 15m, 25m, 50m

Breaststroke: 15m, 25m, 50m

Butterfly: 15m, 25m, 50m

The extended Free Swim gives families the chance to arrive at their own pace.

The Assisted Swim will start for younger children (usually Prep or Year 1) who need a little help completing 12.5m. They swim with the assistance of Year 5 or 6 student.

Swimmers looking for a challenge can nominate in the showcase 100m race, either a medley or a single stroke.

Special Nights

Club Championships are held late in Term 1 -- compete for places in age-based events and perhaps even become Age Champion.

Presentation Night awards the winners from the Club Champs.

Reciprocal inter-club meets with Sherwood Sharks give us the chance to compete against some new swimmers.

Nominations and Timekeeping

Parents use the Swim Club Connect App each week to nominate their swimmers, selecting which races to participate in, view race schedules and week to week results. You will need to download (or update) the Swim Club Connect App to be ready for the new season.

Free and Assisted swims do not require nomination

Parent help is required to time keep using the app. Recorded times are used to seed next weeks heats and can be seen in app to track swimmers' improvement.
